Blue print Builder Point 5; I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure, unless built upon Truth and Justice, therefore, I engage in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects.
Twenty one weeks ago when I started this journey on the first webinar the blue print builder was given to us and as I read it my spirit rose a new level as I read each point. The reason being many of these points were already in my life to some degree. One of the other things we were required to buy was two copies of Og Mandino’s book, The Greatest Salesman In The World [I bought Two Hard backs, I knew I wanted them for the rest of my life]. Again my spirit jumped.
When I was in my twenties I found myself chasing money rather than service and ended up in a not so pretty financial condition. As I worked to get myself out of that mess an acquaintance shared with me to read Og’s books. I did and they helped give me a solid direction in my life. It was during reading one of his books that my life took a turn for the better. The words that came to me were, “Chase what creates income not Money itself!” I would learn shortly after that the key words were “Provide Service, Provide Value to those who want what you have to offer, Long Term!” My motto became; “Unless every transaction is good for both parties, BOTH PARTIES LOSE!” What had become my new focus? “Long Term Relationships.” I was not interested in chasing my tail everyday only for new customers. My second motto became; “Keep The Old, Get The New.” The focus, “EVERY TRANSACTION GREAT FOR ALL PARTIES PARTICIPATING, ALL PARTIES WIN- LONG TERM.” Service, Value, Service. Service, Value, Service. Did it work? Every day this Principle won the day. Were there days that I had to fix a situation? Yes, we fixed it and kept moving forward, with the customer. Were there days that a situation would arise that not doing the right thing looked like the easy fix to situations? You better believe it. What did I do in those situations? The right thing. I enjoyed laying my head on a pillow every night knowing I had done my best every day.
A key point I have learned in life is that transactions are NOT only about money! There are character transactions, integrity transactions, relationship transactions to name a few. A few years ago a situation happened in a persons life that wasn’t a good situation. The individual simply made an incorrect choice. To help this individual myself and another individual made the decision to cover all of this persons activities for two weeks. Then much to my dismay a couple of individuals called and said we need to put a spin on this, get all of our stories the same. I could not believe what I was hearing from these two individuals. I promptly stopped them cold in their tracks and said, “There will be no story, There will be no spin. Only the truth, this person just needs to be at home.” The line went totally silent, I said it in a tone they not only heard it, they understood it. My next statement to them was, “THE TRUTH HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN!” Please understand I am a sinner like everyone else, not perfect.
As we all live our lives we are surrounded with all types of people. One of Gods gifts to us is the gift of getting to choose who we surround ourselves with. Choose Wisely! You will be much happier and fulfilled in your journey called life. True friends and associates are treasures, treasure them.
MKMMA leaders thanks again for the reinforcement of unchangeable Principles.
Enjoying my MKMMA journey,
